FANZ's six steps to financial success

1. Getting to Know Each other

It’s your adviser's job to be the co-pilot in your financial life. To do that your adviser needs to figure out where you want to go and ensure you take the smartest and safest route to get there.

2. What is important to you?

Your adviser will start by figuring our three key things:

1. Where are you today?
2. Where are you going?
3. What are the gaps?

3. Building a Plan

The plan sits at the foundation of everything. It tells us where we want to go and how we're going to get there. It creates a process for keeping you on track and then recommends the investment solutions that are the correct fit for you.

4. Confirming and signing off on your plan

You and your adviser will have melded together your money and your life into a real financial plan. If done right it is how you will use your money to achieve your life’s ambitions. You will confirm & sign off your plan.

5. The First Step: Implementation

With the plan in place your adviser then takes all the pieces of your financial life and puts them in order and helps keep them that way.

6. Keep reviewing and repeating what works

A plan is only as good as the goals it’s trying to achieve. But in life goals change according to opportunities, relationships, health and markets. Your adviser then begins a process of regularly reassessing where you want to go and determining what are the investments suited to that purpose. This way you should stay on track.
